Small Classes
Up to 3 swimmers for ages 3–5 and up to 4 swimmers for ages 6+.
PERSONALIZED. PURPOSEFUL. PROGRESS-FOCUSED.
Trident helps swimmers build safety, confidence, technique, and independence through lessons designed around the swimmer in front of us.
WHY TRIDENT
Trident is designed so families can understand what their swimmer is working on, why it matters, and what comes next.
Up to 3 swimmers for ages 3–5 and up to 4 swimmers for ages 6+.
Different swimmers may need different cues, pacing, repetition, or confidence-building.
Families and instructors share a clear understanding of what a swimmer is building now and what comes next.
Regular feedback and monthly progress updates make growth visible beyond the pool deck.
THE TRIDENT METHOD
The Trident Method organizes instruction around six connected pillars of development. Early swimmers build comfort, breathing control, balance, and safe movement. More advanced swimmers refine technique, efficiency, endurance, starts, turns, and higher-level skills.
Ask about level placement →LESSON OPTIONS
Every format follows the same Trident standards for safety, progression, communication, and individualized instruction.
For swimmers who benefit from social learning, repetition, observation, and the energy of a small class.
A strong option for siblings, friends, or swimmers who benefit from more individual attention while still sharing the lesson.
Fully individualized instruction for a specific goal, a higher level of personal attention, or one-on-one learning.
HOW ADVANCEMENT WORKS
Trident levels provide direction without treating every swimmer the same. Advancement is based on overall readiness, including skill consistency, safety, independence, body control, confidence, participation, and readiness for the next level.
ABOUT TRIDENT
Trident Swim Academy was founded by Colby Madden, a Physical Education teacher and longtime aquatics professional with experience in competitive swimming, swim instruction, lifeguarding, lesson management, pool operations, and youth programming.
Trident was built around a simple idea: swimmers make stronger progress when instructors know what they are teaching, know why they are teaching it, and have enough time to teach the swimmer in front of them.

Have a swimmer under age 3? Trident does not currently plan to begin with regular lessons for swimmers under 3, but we would still love to hear from you. Interest from families will help guide future parent-and-child and early-years scheduling.
Google Form link will be connected before this page goes live. Families with swimmers under 3 can use the same form to share future interest.
