SWIM LEVELS

A clear path forward, without forcing every swimmer into the same pace.

Trident uses two age-based progression tracks. Levels guide instruction and communication, while advancement reflects overall readiness rather than time alone.

Ages 3–5

Guppies Series → Dolphins Series

Guppies 101 — GuppiesWater comfort, safe participation, beginning breath control, supported movement, and foundational independence.
Guppies 102 — MinnowsGrowing independence, body position, breath control, floating, kicking, and short-distance movement.
Guppies 103 — OttersConnecting breathing, balance, and movement with stronger independent swimming foundations.
Dolphins 201 — SealsBuilding longer independent swimming, multiple strokes, treading, safety skills, and stronger body control.
Dolphins 202 — DolphinsDeveloping stroke consistency, distance, dives where appropriate, and more advanced movement skills.
Dolphins 203 — OrcasRefining strokes, turns, endurance, control, and readiness for more advanced swimming.

Ages 6+

Balance Series → Refine Series

Balance 101Comfort, breathing control, floating, body position, foundational movement, and safety.
Balance 102Stronger independent balance, kicking, movement, and early swimming coordination.
Balance 103Connecting foundational skills into more consistent independent swimming.
Refine 201Building recognizable stroke technique, safety, efficiency, and distance.
Refine 202Improving stroke quality, endurance, treading, surface skills, and advanced coordination.
Refine 203Advanced stroke refinement, starts, turns, relay transitions, endurance, and higher-level swimming readiness.

THE TRIDENT METHOD

Six pillars. One connected swimmer.
